Gulf Coast Runners invites everyone to join us for one of the oldest (45 years) and toughest 5-mile races in Southwest Florida. No other area race has more than 15 inclines, with "Indian Hill" being the most challenging of them all. This race tests the bravery and grit of runners looking for a challenge. Runners might not walk away with a PR, as simply crossing the finish line is celebrated.

In 2021, the Marco 5 Mile Hill Run was renamed to honor its creator and long-time race director, Mark McGarity. Mark was an avid runner, coach, and founding board member of Gulf Coast Runners. Mark passed away in July of 2021 after battling cancer.

Even in his last days, Mark was full of life and a steadfast love for people. One of his last wishes was to provide financial support to student athletes in their pursuit of higher education. While he is no longer physically with us, the legacy of Coach Mark McGarity continues to inspire runners of all ages in this community. The Hill Run is a cherished tradition, intended to bring student athletes together to compete while home for Holidays.

We are honored to carry and grow this tradition, and hope you’ll join us to compete, support, or volunteer.

OMG its the first ever Coach McGarity Poker Run 2023!

Let’s try something new and celebrate Coach McGarity’s love of motorcycles and running. Here’s how it works: Dress up like coach and walk / jog around Downtown. At each starred * stop, pick up a playing card from a card deck. Enjoy the sights and Feel free to grab a drink as well.

  1. Meet @ Cambier Park (leave at 11 AM)

  2. Riverwalk at Tin City (Leave by 11:30)

  3. Tavern on the Bay * (leave by 12:15)

  4. Baker Park to Naples Greenway

  5. Riptide Brewery * (leave by 1:00 PM)

  6. Naples on the Run *

  7. Brooks Burgers * (leave by 2:00 PM)

  8. Last Stop: Captain & Krewe * (on Cambier Park)

Celebrate winter in the tropics at this annual family favorite!

When purchasing your tickets to Johnsonville Night Lights in the Garden, please select your preferred time of entry. This time only applies to your time of arrival and does not affect the length of your stay at the event. Only service dogs are permitted during this event. 

All tickets are non-refundable, only FLEX and GLOW tickets can be exchanged. Only FLEX and GLOW tickets are eligible for a one-time exchange if requested at least 24 hours prior to original ticket date. Time is subject to availability. Choose your date and time carefully.

*Andy has a few tickets for Thursday 12/14 at 7PM. If you want to attend please purchase at the Naples Botanical Garden Website for this or another night.
